Timothy's Tour through the King William District of San Antonio

"Come with me and my family for a walk through the King William's district of San Antonio; I love walks, and I love seeing all the animals, leaves, and nuts along the way."

"This is the San Antonio River, and beside this river is where we are walking today."

"Daddy is our official guide, reading the history of the homes to us. I am still little and can understand very little of what is read, but I like to be with my family seeing new things."

"My family stops to read almost every historical marker; history is important and interesting to my family."

"This was one of my Daddy's favorite houses."

"Mommy and my sisters often talk to me about all the different types of animals we see; I really like watching the water birds."

"My sister recognized this bed and breakfast from her cookbook."

"This is my sister Anne; I love her very much, and she held me for part of our walk when my legs became tired...she's the best Anne in the whole world!"

"My sisters and brothers like to take pictures of houses, trees, flowers... and me, but sometimes I get to practice taking pictures, too."

"On to more adventures..."

The Mysterious Islands Premiere in Dallas

The film of the evening

Built in 1937, Lakewood Theater is the only single screen theater left in Dallas with its art deco style.

This event was a Phillips family production.

Part of the Mysterious Island team

For most of the little children present, the beautiful footage of fearless animals was their favorite part. To see the diverse creatures and wild islands that had been regaled to us previously by both my grandmother and Dr. John Morris, was a special treat for our family.

Exploring Early Texas History

Mission Concepción

Walking the grounds

What really fascinated our family was the architecture of this mission from the hinges and doors to the massive walls and arches.

Decorative painting

The children took great delight in discovering the acoustics of this old Spanish mission by singing.

Martin and Jones Daughters

Emily and Annie Hope spending time with the daughters of Dr. Jobe and Jenna Dee Martin, hosts of the Incredible Creatures and Climbers and Creepers DVD series. The Martin daughters were precious examples of joy and Christ-like love.

Several Questions During a Panel Discussion

Lawrence Ford, John Morris, Henry Morris III and Randy Guluizza

~ Searching for Noah's ark
~ The age of the stars
~ What specific "kinds" of animals were created on the sixth day
~ The age of the earth
~ Dealing with the "gap theory"
~ How to be prepared for confrontation in every area of life

A light moment while discussing heavy topics

Lucy, Ida and Ardi to the Intricacies of the Human Hand

"What is the evidence?" and "Does it make sense?" were two questions ICR's Dr. Randy Guluizza asked throughout his two talks regarding fossils and the human body.

The fact that most humans can hold multiple items (i.e. a chip, hammer, paint can and cloth) in both hands at the same time is a truly human ability granted and created by God.

Dr. John Morris on Time and the Age of the Earth

Dr. John Morris dealt with a very interesting topic, time...and the age of the earth. With his clear explanations and interesting stories, even our youngest listeners came away desiring to learn more about these subjects.

Looking at both sides of the issue...

Is it possible?

Acts and Facts

One of the many ministries of ICR is a monthly periodical called Acts and Facts which informs scientists and laymen alike on the front line scientific issues of our day. For this event Lawrence Ford, the editor of Acts and Facts, was the master of ceremonies. Read this month's issue online here.

Dr. Henry Morris III on the Omnipresence of God

During ICR's Demand the Evidence conference, many listened to the words of Dr. Henry Morris III on several different topics including the omnipresence of God. What follows is just an excerpt (in notes) from his talk entitled, Genesis and the Character of God.

God’s Omnipresence

2 Samuel 22:31; Psalm 18:30; Psalm 104:24; Colossians 2:3; James 1:17; Isaiah 46:9-10; Acts 15:18; Revelation 1:8

God is not unaware of anything
God’s knowledge is immediate
God knows all there is to know

Demands of Omniscience

God must reveal complete information – Or keep “secret”
Deuteronomy 29:29 – “secret things belong” to God

God can reveal truth without details

God can not create inferior things.

He can do only “holy” acts.
He can not create, make, or shape, non-functional processes.

If made, must work completely
If purposed, must have ability to function
If designed, must clearly demonstrate

ALL THINGS must bring glory to the Creator

Results of Omniscience

God’s purpose and order flow from His Omniscience
Isaiah 14:27 and Romans 8:28

God’s decisions are unchangeable and without confusion
Isaiah 46:10 and 1 Corinthians 14:33

God’s specific will and pleasure are always implemented
Psalm 33:11, Ephesians 1:9-11, Psalm 135:6, Isaiah 46:9-11
